Who We Are? The Florida Family Policy Council (FFPC) is a state based pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage educational advocacy group. We are associated with Focus on the Family but we are a completely independent group and have to raise 100% of our financial support. Incorporated in 2002, and launched in the fall of 2004, the Florida Family Policy Council seeks to educate and inform Florida citizens about public policy issues in our state that would impact marriage, children and families. Our mission is to Strengthen Florida's Families through public policy education, issue research and grassroots advocacy. What is a Family Policy Council? In 36 states there is a network of state based Family Policy Councils (FPC's) that exist as pro family advocates in their respective states http://www.citizenlink.com/state-groups/ These are some of the leading pro-family groups in the country and are initiated by and are all associated with Focus on the Family. While we all enjoy a relational association with Focus, the Florida Family Policy Council is an independent 501(c)(3) non profit organization organized under Florida law and we are entirely member supported. What is the difference? Principled Persuasion… The Florida Family Policy Council is committed to using good research, solid arguments and principled persuasion to make the case for pro-life, pro-family social conservative values in the legislature and in the public square. We will endeavor in all that we do to be people of good faith and good will in making the case for Biblical family values in the public square. |
