| | Purpose :
The purpose of each professional Advisory council is to create a statewide network of attorneys, civic leaders , legislator, pastors, and physicians to serve as a resource to help the Florida Family Council accomplish its mission of strengthening Florida’s families. Many public policy issues related to the family are multi-faceted and have legal, medical, spiritual, community and legislative aspects.
Activities:
Typical activities that an Advisory council member might volunteer to become involved with include giving ideas for new family friendly laws, giving testimony before a legislative sub-committee, reviewing policy paper drafts, helping us network with other like minded professionals, and being available to give advice and counsel.
Requirements:
There are no formal meeting requirements or financial requirements to be a member of a Professional Advisory council. The only real requirement is to support our organization’s mission to strengthen Florida’s families and to be willing to allow us to call you when a need arises. In time, some of the councils will become more organized and will hold meetings, training seminars and /or activities. As a member of one of the council you are invited to participate at whatever level you have time and interest.
